A tiny little Princess… 29 April, 2008

We adopted a kitten last night. We’re not sure if it’s a girl or a boy as the vet won’t see her until 9 weeks. I’m pretty sure she’s a girl. So I’ve taken to naming my pets after Disney princesses. Bella for Belle from Beauty and the best, and this new little kitten will be Aurora (If a boy then Rory).

The boys are pretty pleased with our new addition, though I can’t count how many times today I had to say sentences like “Don’t lie on the kitten”; “Please leave the kitten alone”; and “I am losing my mind, PLEASE LET GO OF THE KITTEN!!!”. Didn’t help that I’m tired today and therefore a little grumpy. There’s always tomorrow and hopefully if I have an early night it will go a little better!

I don’t really know how any of this works! But it seems like the new alternative to journaling, and I want to be able to share what my boys get up to and any other fantastic news.

I chose my username as I have been told both figuratively and literally I have a big heart :) Literally because of my diagnosis of Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Figuratively I’m not sure, i think I just have wonderful friends and family and any good they see in me is just a reflection of themselves.

Before I forget I HAVE to document what James and Ben thought of their Thomas cupcakes. Two and a half year olds obsessed with Thomas DO NOT mix with edible Thomas icing. James was thrilled, pulled the little round picture off his cupcake and stuck it to his top. Of course because of the icing it stuck to him, thus proving his point that it was in fact a sticker we had strangely put on his cupcake.

Ben tasted it then spat it on the floor. Pretty clear what he thought of the whole “Edible Thomas picture” idea.

That’s about it for my first post, now I am off to look around and try to figure this place out! And before I forget, please excuse any spelling errors I may make in my haste to write things down!
